Who needs to complete a tax return?
Companies, partnerships and sole-traders are all required to complete a tax return. In addition, people with complex tax affairs, anyone receiving income from overseas, income from land and property or any other untaxed income or gains are also required to complete a tax return.
It is the taxpayer’s responsibility to inform HM Revenue & Customs that they are operating a business or receiving income which requires a tax return to be completed. If you require advice or information in this area please contact us and we will be pleased to discuss matters with you.

Who needs to prepare business accounts?
Limited companies and limited liability partnerships are required to prepare statutory accounts and to file either the full or abbreviated accounts with Companies House.
Other businesses, such as sole-traders, do not have a requirement for statutory accounts, although most find a simple set of accounts useful. Preparation of a basic set of accounts also helps us to prepare your tax return.
